Application Procedures for AASCU’s Scholarship for Summer Short-Term Study in China

AASCU offers $1500 every year for each CHEPD 1+2+1 Program participating universities for the Summer Short-Term Study in China.

Qualifications:
•  AASCU CHEPD 1+2+1 Program participating university
•  Program focuses on China related studies and field trips in China in the summer or during the academic year
•  Selected candidate should be U.S. citizens with academic merit, but economic/financially disadvantaged group
•  Willing to share the travel/learning experience with all the participating member institutions

Application Procedures:
•  Participating university notifies AASCU about the program with potential travel plan and theme of the program
•  Participating university send the candidate name(s) and the reasons for selection as the scholarship winner(s)
•  The deadline for submission is May 1.
•  AASCU will notify the participating university regarding the acceptance of the selected candidate(s).
•  AASCU will send a check of $1500 to the university
•  AASCU expects to receive a report from the scholarship recipient regarding the study abroad experience in China
